Housing during the University Programmes

Accommodation in Paris (credits: Lika Banshoya)

Sciences Po is an urban campus without student residences on site. The Summer School offers two housing options for students with external partners.

We recommend securing housing as soon as you have been accepted into the programme and paid the deposit reserving your spot.

Section #atome

Atome – My French Homestay (private rooms with a host family)

Upon admission, students will be able to book a room directly with Atome My French Homestay.

The host families have been carefully chosen by Atome My French Homestay. All of these families speak English and are eager to welcome international students in their homes! Families are either couples with children (from 5 to 25 years old) who want to share a rich cultural experience, or couples whose children no longer live with them, but who really enjoy the presence of students. These homes usually have one or two private bedrooms. All apartments are located in safe neighbourhoods in Paris, within a 30-minute commute to Sciences Po.

CIUP

Upon admission, students will be able to book a room via our admissions portal.

Please note that this option is not available for the Immersive Programmes in May

The Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris is a unique site in Paris that serves as the largest provider of student accommodation in the region, with lodging for over 5,800 individuals. The CIUP is located approximately 30 minutes from Sciences Po at the “Cité Universitaire” stop on the RER B line, or the “Porte d’Orléans” stop on the metro line 4. Students can travel from the CIUP to Sciences Po by metro, bus, or Vélib', the city’s bike share system.

All CIUP rooms are furnished, single rooms with a private bathroom. There is a shared kitchen on each floor. The CIUP provides sheets, blankets, and pillows, but students need to bring their own towels and utensils. Each room has a mini refrigerator and Internet access through an Ethernet cable.

Please note that the CIUP does not accept minors; students must be at least 18 years old at the time of the programme to reserve a room.
