Tuition and Fees for the Social Sciences Track
The tuition fees include classes and any course materials. An additional fee will apply for students who wish to take an optional elective course or workshop.
2025 Tuition fees
- One session: 2 900 €
- Two sessions: 5 200 €
- Early-bird two sessions: 5 000 €
Admitted students who complete their registration for two sessions by February 28th, 2025 are eligible for the early-bird discount of 200 €.
Following an offer of admission, students will have one week to pay a 600 € deposit in order to secure their spot.
Please note that the deposit fee is non-refundable. Students will then have two weeks to pay the remaining tuition fees and complete their registration.
The following are not included in tuition fees and must be arranged directly by each student: transportation to and from Paris, school supplies (excluding books), food, and housing. Some optional on-campus activities also involve an extra fee.
2025 optional academic
- Elective course: 500 €
Students have the possibility to take one optional elective course per session, in addition to their core social science course. See a full list of elective classes.
Application Fee
Applicants must pay a 50 € application fee at the time of their application. The fee is payable online by credit card at the end of the application process. The application fee is non-refundable.
Scholarships
The Summer School is not able to offer any scholarships. We encourage prospective students to check with their home universities and local embassies to see if they may secure additional funding.
Refund, Cancellation and Modification Policy
The 2025 University Programmes Refund, Cancellation and Modification Policy (PDF, 171 KB) specifies the time table and conditions for which Summer School programme fees can be refunded, as well as policies regarding course cancellation and modification of class registration.
Eligibility Criteria
The University Programmes admit university students and graduates from a variety of backgrounds and situations. Whether they are preparing for an international career, considering a degree at Sciences Po, or simply intellectually curious, students benefit from this unique opportunity to discover Sciences Po.
Age and Education Requirements
The University Programmes are open to candidates in the following situations:
- Students currently enrolled in an institution of higher education
- University graduates who have obtained at least a bachelor's degree
- Students in their final year of secondary school who will receive their secondary diploma by Summer 2024 and who will enrol in an institution of higher education in Fall 2025
Current secondary students who will still be enrolled in secondary school in Fall 2025 are ineligible for the University Programmes. These candidates are invited to apply to the Pre-College Programmes.
The University Programmes do not have a minimum or maximum age. However, admitted students who meet the above criteria, but are under the age of 18, will need parental consent to participate in the programme. Please note that certain housing options in Paris do not accept students under the age of 18.

Candidates who are not native English speakers may demonstrate their proficiency in English in one of three ways:
The following tests and minimum scores are accepted:
- TOEFL (IBT or Home Edition): 90 - Comprehension (Reading + Listening) minimum: 46; Expression (Speaking + Writing) minimum: 44
- IELTS: 6.5, no subscore under 5.5
- Cambridge English: B2 First (former Cambridge English First FCE) - "Reading" and "Listening": grade A (minimum:180); "Use of English", "Writing" and "Speaking" minimum: grade B (minimum: 173)
- Cambridge English: C1 Advanced (former Cambridge English Advanced - CAE)
- Cambridge English: C2 Proficiency (former Cambridge English Proficiency - CPE)
- Duolingo test: 130 minimum
This includes:
- An academic transcript showing at least two years of courses entirely taught in English.
- A diploma from an English-speaking institution.
Please note that two years of English language courses alone are not sufficient.
