2022 Winter School
For the first time, Sciences Po will be offering an on-campus winter session of the University Programme during the winter break in January 2022. This inaugural Winter School will allow students to have an intensive learning experience of Sciences Po’s fundamental disciplines, while enjoying the city of Paris during the wintertime with an international community of students. The small class sizes provide for an interactive learning environment that creates close connections to other students and professors.
Sciences Po is currently accepting applications for the Winter School via the online application platform. Please read below for application instructions.
STUDY THE SOCIAL SCIENCES IN THE HEART OF PARIS
The Winter School provides students the opportunity to explore contemporary challenges by taking one course of intensive study in the social sciences. Taught entirely in English, each course includes 30 contact hours and is worth 4 ECTS. See the course overviews to learn more about these courses.
ENJOY WINTER IN THE CITY OF LIGHTS
Outside the classroom, participants will be immersed in French language and culture through daily life in Paris. From Sciences Po’s campus in the historic Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighbourhood, students can easily reach some of Paris’ most famous landmarks on foot. Learn more about exploring Paris.
Students will be able to participate in a variety of social activities and cultural visits, while enjoying a Parisian winter. The programme includes career workshops to help them prepare their professional skills for the workplace. Find out more about the social and cultural programme.
JOIN SCIENCES PO’S INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY
In 2021, students from over 31 countries and a diverse range of academic and professional backgrounds joined the Winter School. Here’s what some of them had to say about the University Programme:
“The backgrounds of the other students are more diverse than I could have ever imagined them to be. The professor is very well informed and there is a nice balance between the lecture formats, smaller group discussions, oral presentations, written papers and guest speakers.” - Hudson, USA
“I think that the diversity really helps because we were able to gather different opinions. The environment is very cooperative; we were able to work so well with each other despite the age, background and profession of all the students.” - Farva, India
“The way in which I will use my studies at the Sciences Po Winter School is to bear in mind how I can be a responsible actor in society to implement sustainable and comprehensive changes, whether it be in my private, academic or professional life.” - Milla, France
