King's College London
On July 11, 2014, CERI and King’s College London (KCL) organized a joint seminar on the study of foreign and defense policy, building upon the work of the CERI research group on foreign policy making (Sociologie de la politique étrangère). This seminar brought together scholars and Ph.D. students from both institutions in order to:
- explore the theoretical frameworks and methodological approaches that can be mobilized to study the actors and processes of foreign and defense policy making;
- compare the approaches currently utilized in the field of Foreign Policy Analysis;
- assess the degree of convergence/divergence and the potential for cross-fertilization between the various frameworks, concepts, and methods;
- investigate the intertwining of domestic and international sources of foreign and defense policy-making.

The 2015 seminar will take place in London on the 7-8 of May. Conceived under the scientific supervision of Christian Lequesne, Didier Bigo (CERI) and Hugo Meijer (KCL), the program is available here.
