Gabriel Pourre is a PhD student in political science, specializing in International relations, at the CERI with the support of the French Ministry of Defense. Under the supervision of Ariel Colonomos, he works on the US nuclear targeting policy and its control by the Law of Armed Conflict. Through an international political theory approach, he thinks about the conditions of a just war and especially analyzes how nuclear employment strategy bargains with other aspects of nuclear policy (deterrence, escalation management, arms control). He holds degrees in political science and international relations from Sciences Po Paris (M.A. and B.A.).
