The Centre for History Seminar

The Sciences Po Centre for History Seminar is a monthly forum for collective discussion on current research by the CHSP research community and guest scholars.

Its objective is to explore avenues for renewing political history in the widest sense (emerging questions, methodological and archival issues, interpretative debates and multidisciplinary approaches) with a view, among other things, to preparing a major international symposium on the topic.

Each session focuses on a broad theme, using an original piece of research as a starting point. A text is shared before the session so that everyone can familiarize themselves with the subject. After an introductory presentation, a doctoral student launches the group discussion.
