The Junior Colloquium
The Junior Colloquium is an important feature of the Sciences Po Centre for History. It allows PhD students to propose and organise a colloquium with the financial support of the School of Research and the Centre for History.
The colloquium must be organised by at least two doctoral students from the CHSP. Students are not eligible to organise beyond their fourth year of PhD studies.
To apply, prospective organisers must present:
- the title and intellectual justification of the colloquium (6,000 characters max.);
- an indicative programme specifying the names of the prospective researchers or, as a minimum, the category or categories of participants concerned: doctoral, post-doctoral, and/or senior researchers;
- the composition of a steering committee of three to five experienced academics, including at least one Sciences Po faculty member and one researcher from outside Sciences Po;
- a projected budget.
Applications are reviewed by the Council of the Centre for History.
