Bio :

Patrick Le Lidec is a senior CNRS research fellow and director of Sciences Po’s Master of Metropolitan Governance. He holds a Master in organizations and public policy (1995) and a PhD in Political Science from Paris I, Panthéon Sorbonne University (2001). His dissertation won the GRALE Prize for best paper. Before joining the Center for European Studies at Sciences po in 2011, he was  senior CNRS research fellow at the Cersa (Research and Studies Center of Administrative Science) a research unit placed under the double supervision of the Paris II University (Pantheon-Assas) and of the National centre of the Scientific research (CNRS).

His main research interests are decentralization policies, local government reforms and territorial restructuring in comparative perspective. They also include include several items, such as national trajectories of territorial reforms, multi-level and metropolitan governance, sociology of public finance and sociology of political work.

He teaches at Sciences Po since 2009 and has taught at Université Paris II (2003-2009), Université Paris I (2001-2010), Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA) and Institut National des Etudes Territoriales (INET) (2007-2009), Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (2008-2013), Ecole Nationale des Travaux Publics de l’Etat (2007-2011), Université Lille 2 (1998-1999 and 2001-2002).
