Mickaël Catinon

Mickaël Catinon est chercheur au laboratoire Minapath d’analyse minéralogique du Centre Hospitalier Saint Joseph-Saint Luc de Lyon (France). Il est spécialiste de l’analyse physico-chimique, et particulièrement de l’analyse minéralogique des micro- et nanoparticules déposées sur des supports vivants et inertes. Il est titulaire d’un doctorat en Écologie, Environnement et Santé de l’Université de Grenoble 1, où il a également réalisé une recherche postdoctorale. Dans son doctorat comme dans sa recherche de post-doctorat, il a étudié la question de la pollution atmosphérique dans le Rhône, l’Isère et la région de Giers en France. Son activité présente dans le laboratoire Minapath se concentre sur le problème de la formation de concentrations de particules / « poussières » dans le corps humain et certains organes en particulier (poumons, reins, ovaires et sang).

Mickaël a rejoint l’équipe SILICOSIS en 2013. Cette collaboration a pour objet la recherche des causes de la sarcoïdose, par la comparaison des particules contenues dans les lavages bronchoalvéolaires d’une population de vingt patients atteints de cette maladie et de vingt sujets sains. Chacune de ces quarante personnes répondra à un questionnaire mis au point par l’équipe SILICOSIS qui vise à mettre en évidence, le cas échéant, l’exposition (professionnelle et extra-professionnelle) à différents types de poussières inorganiques.
