Il est également professeur invité au Collège d’Europe à Bruges et chercheur associé au CERI-Sciences Po. A Sciences Po, il est responsable de l’University Consortium, un réseau académique sur la Russie réunissant les universités d’Harvard, Columbia, Oxford et Sciences Po.
Par le passé, David Cadier a occupé des postes de chercheur sur contrat et d’enseignant au CERI-Sciences Po (2018-2021) et à la London School of Economics (2012-2015). Il a par ailleurs été chercheur invité à la Fletcher School of Diplomacy, l’Université SAIS Johns Hopkins, l’Institut tchèque de Relations Internationales et à l’Institut polonais de relations internationales
